Como lo que voy a recomendar son novelas en inglés, pues tampoco merece la pena que traduzca este post. Es que no lo puedo evitar, ¡me gusta más leer en inglés que en español!
Today I've been a good girl and I've studied the whole day, so I think I can afford me a moment to write here. I'm quite tired, though, so please, forgive the unnumbered mistakes that I'll probably make.
I would like to recommend some novels online that I've had the inmense pleasure to find and read. I highly recommend them if you have time, because they can't be considered "fics", but real novels. Not as much for their extension as for the kind of narrative the authors had used, but they're long nonetheless. Ah, I forgot, they are "slashy", there's some homosexuall relationship in there. I'm a yaoi sucker.
The first one is "Dynasty of Ghosts" by P.L.Nunn. Fantasy made credible, with charismatic but flawed characters and actually a PLOT to get hooked on. As every long story, it stars slowly, but from chapter three on, I wans't able to unglue the eyes from my computer. You can FEEL the scenes, visualize them, savour their intensity... the angst, the intrigue, the sweetness, the hate... and I insist, the absolute credibility of characters and reactions. No cheap excuses for sex or surreal plot twistings, everything is carefully thought and written and I really loved this piece, is for that that I recommend you read it if you feel like to it. The second one is "Gates of Transformation" by Kracken. Please, don't be scared, but this is a kind of Mary Sue. But weird and really well written. I've always hated with a passion all the stories based on people travelling in time, space, dimensions, worlds or whatever, but this one is different. It tells the story of a woman killed in an car-accident that appears in the body of a male in an strange world (quite medieval). The summary is horrible, but trust me, this story is incredibly good. It's even slower than the previous one, but when you have read enough chapters you realize the rythm was perfect. There's every genre here, from the lighter comedy and romance to the drama and the gothic terror. I got trylu scared and disgusted in some chapters, but grinned silly in others. A very well though story and very well written piece. You'll need time though, since it's six volumes long... It's available at http://kracken.bonpublishing.com/ , again in the "fiction" section.
And the last one is quite special. It's not an ordinary novel, it's a shifting POV of the main characters. The story is beautifully woven and borders poetry in some parts. It's "Trapdoor", by September Dawn, a story of losers, human characters built and driven by their lives, on which they don't have control. Angst, angst, angst and more angst, but love in its purest state and intensity of feelings. Unfortunately, only half book is online, the other half you have to purchase (you have to pay the shipping costs, not the novel), but I assure you that it's worth. There's an annual contest to achieve a copy for free (the author pays the shipping rate), just visit the site. Anyway, the story is worth reading even if it's only to its middle. And no, I haven't heard of the Periter stories... there was a time I would have killed to get that kind of recommendation, I became pretty obsessed with original slash some time ago... now I'm only thrilled. Thank you very much for the link, when I finish my exams I'll start the reading! Thank youuuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
